" Josh's wife"

So two readers have decided I am "Josh's wife" because they've heard her state views like mine. Just goes to show that I am not the only person who has my views! This is making me think maybe I should meet Josh's wife, since apparently we have something in common.

The serious thought here is: My views and situations are not unique to me. There are many people out there who (pick one or more) have young children, avoid board meetings because they leave one feeling enraged and/or feeling not heard, think Robinson needs to resign for healing in this district to even have a chance to begin, think all the blogging by LT is more hurtful than helpful, like and respect Rick Alexander for working toward positive change in this district whether or not we agree with him 100%.

Another serious thought: Like I wrote about speculative comments about LT's identity, I'm not going to publish any more speculation about who I am or who I am not, so no need to submit comments like that in the future.

I believed what I said is that I had a conversation with Josh, sometimes with Rick. Everything that you had wrote in your post came directly from their mouths. It made me assume you must be Josh's wife since of the close connection of the views that you all shared. There are some things that only these two knows and truely believe in that I had seen on your post.

Also, how can you say that you know what is really going on when you do not even attend board meetings? A person that does not have direct contact or hands on experience and attend school board meetings to me is not qualify to offer a "real inform bias" opinion. This is a free country which you are entitle to your opinion but at the same time I do not believe your opinion reflects the majority of this community.

Rick is not working for any positive changes in this district. He goes around town burning every ear that is willing to listen to him. He complains that the sky is falling and Lebanon should only teach welding. I suggest you sit down with Rick and Josh and have a conversation them one on one. Josh will talk down to you like you are an idiot and Rick will complain that this world is falling apart and he needs to fix it. I can qualify those statements because I have first hand experience.

You wrote, RE Rick Alexander, "He complains that the sky is falling and Lebanon should only teach welding."

You seriously think Rick believes welding is the only subject that should be taught in our schools?

It proves my point that you had not have a conversation with him.
Everytime I had converse with him that is all he talked about. Teaching the students how to weld so they will work for Entek or other manufactures right after high school. Beside that, he had never talked about making sure the students attend college, becoming lawyers, doctors, or anything else. After talking with Rick constantly for many years, I have concluded that is all he wants. In board meetings, he had never ever once mention other great successes our students are having in other fields, as a matter of fact, never ever in his reasoning for making decision he mentioned they will be for the betterment of students. I challenge you to read every board minutes since Rick has been on the board and point out to me exactly where Rick mention children in his remarks or his thought process. I will send you a gift card if you point to me anywhere in the minutes that Rick had put the welfare of the children before his own personal agenda.

The ball is on your court.

Actually, I have had many conversations with Rick Alexander over the years. Let's see.... I recall one time hearing from him about some high school bathrooms being locked during school hours last year, as a way of coping with graffiti problems. (I understand the school is still using this method to control graffiti, which seems akin to banning lunches at school because some students make unnecessary messes (absurd), not to mention difficult and unhealthful for students who need to use a restroom between classes and lack time for the 10-minute round-trip walk to the only unlocked one!) So here is one conversation that had nothing to do with welding!

Does he believe Sand Ridge focuses on welding classes? It's my understanding he supports having a charter school alternative for district students, which is looking out for student interests/needs.

I don't have the time to go scrolling through board minutes. If I did, I would find many examples of Rick looking out for student needs, but I believe you would interpret these as advocating for his own agenda, so this would get us nowhere.

I challenge you to go thru the minutes. Public records to show how he really thinks durning board meetings. Never ever did I sit there and listen to him put the interest of the children first. Maybe you will then notice that the KING is not wearing any clothes. (fairtale)... No sense trying to change your mind because you are not open to research for yourself what the truth really is.

Find something in the school board meeting minutes? Yeah right! They include next to no information; I don't even know why they bother taking them.

I never saw a bathroom locked due to graffiti, but that doesn't rule it out.

The only bathroom I ever saw closed for an extended period was closed due to plumbing problems.

Staff bathrooms are kept locked at all times.
